My granddaughter suggested I should read this as a sequel to Gangsta Granny 👵。 I enjoyed this more than the first。 It was fast moving and had several threads to the narrative。

I was very curious to see what would happen in the second part。 And then I was very irritated because Granny died between the first and second part, which is told on the first pages。 Ben is sad about it, of course, but it's not described dramatically, because Granny has been dead for some time and Ben has had time to grieve。 All the more exciting, of course, is the question of how the Gangsta Granny can strike again。 And you just have to be surprised by that, because it was really unexpected。 I laughed so much, I love David Walliams for his ideas。 By the way, he reads the English audio book himself。 。。。more

Now did I read the first book? No。This book was just available to me and I thought why not。It was fun until we get to know who , after that it was just a snoozefest 。。 I feel sorry for not reading the first book , because by the looks of it that one seemed more interesting from little snippets we get of book 1 in book 2。 But oh well 。。

A mysterious story

Honestly, a great step downwards from the original book。 The queen's character is changed way too much, and her reveal was very boring。 The actual story ended up being very bland, with the ending leaving dissatisfied。 I would not reccomend if you enjoyed the original Gangsta Granny。 Honestly, a great step downwards from the original book。 The queen's character is changed way too much, and her reveal was very boring。 The actual story ended up being very bland, with the ending leaving dissatisfied。 I would not reccomend if you enjoyed the original Gangsta Granny。 。。。more

While I enjoyed returning to the antics of Ben, Raj, The Queen, Mr Nosy Parker et al (as did my daughter), I felt this was a little underdone compared to the original。 The first book has a lot more heart, and more humour。 This seemed to go for lesser gags。 There seemed to be far too many onomatopoeia, some of which seemed out of place。 The story is the usual absurd and far-fetched narrative you’d expect from Mr Walliams。 The illustrations were well done and added to the Roald Dahl vibes。 If you While I enjoyed returning to the antics of Ben, Raj, The Queen, Mr Nosy Parker et al (as did my daughter), I felt this was a little underdone compared to the original。 The first book has a lot more heart, and more humour。 This seemed to go for lesser gags。 There seemed to be far too many onomatopoeia, some of which seemed out of place。 The story is the usual absurd and far-fetched narrative you’d expect from Mr Walliams。 The illustrations were well done and added to the Roald Dahl vibes。 If you enjoyed the first, you’ll like this sequel, but go in with slightly lower expectations and you won’t be disappointed。 。。。more

Can Ben crack the case?I love a good mystery and Walliams definitely cooks up a spectacular one in this daring series of robberies across London – a fabulous sequel to Ben’s adventures with his granny。 The engaging plot not only piques your curiosity but has lots of action to keep you glued to the pages。The book discusses parental expectations, familial bonds, and dealing with the loss of a loved one, which are always an important aspect of Walliams’s writing。 Of course, there’s Raj without whom any David Walliams book feels incomplete。 I’m glad he was able to take part in the adventure rather than just sit in his shop to sell out-of-date candy。Witty, with humour that makes you laugh till your stomach hurts, this is the perfect follow-up to an intriguing mystery that does not seem to end。 The Black Cat lives on。For complete review, visit https://aquamarineflavours。wordpress。。。。Find me on other platforms via https://linktr。ee/AshieJayn 。。。more

I love Gangsta Granny Strikes Again because it is very funny and it has a lot of action。 The funniest part of the book for me was when Miss Parker was chasing Ben on a LOW-SPEED CHASE!!! My least favourite part of the book was when everyone thought Ben’s grandma dyed but she was actually alive disguised as THE BLACK CAT!!! I did not like when Ben’s grandma was disguised as the black cat because no one knew if she was alive or not so for me it was kind of sad。 My favourite part of the book was wh I love Gangsta Granny Strikes Again because it is very funny and it has a lot of action。 The funniest part of the book for me was when Miss Parker was chasing Ben on a LOW-SPEED CHASE!!! This is a surprisingly enjoyable return to form from David Walliams。 It's a fun story, full of joyful silliness, and although I'm not completely convinced by the message of fulfilling dreams immediately, it does have a nice message。 My nine year old loved it, and I really had fun reading it with her。 This is a surprisingly enjoyable return to form from David Walliams。 It's a fun story, full of joyful silliness, and although I'm not completely convinced by the message of fulfilling dreams immediately, it does have a nice message。 My nine year old loved it, and I really had fun reading it with her。 。。。more
